Along
the Lincoln to Boston section of the
National
Cycle Network, contemporary structures will rise from the banks
of the River Witham. Each a unique vantage point over the culturally
distinctive low lying landscape. The first structures will offer
new views of the striking historic landmark towers of Lincoln cathedral
at the one end and Boston Stump at the other.
The structures will be realized by Belgian architect and ‘urbanist’
Paul Robbrecht (
Robbrecht
en Daem), in association with Place Architects and Smithers
Parslow Engineers. Paul works with special respect for a sites’
landscape and history and thrives on the challenge of designing
contemporary creations appropriate to place.
To follow Paul through the design process, take a look through
architects
diaries where his photos, thoughts, sketches and plans will
be posted as they are created.
